Jealous are thrilled to be hosting a second solo show by Ally McIntyre, coming to Jealous North 2nd-27th October. The show will feature her new paintings and a new limited edition print "Good Boy".
‘Dog Days’ is the second solo show of new work by painter Ally McIntyre to be held at Jealous. This exhibition follows the huge success from her first solo exhibition ‘Moon Dazed’ at Jealous in November 2015, and ‘The Sun Popped’ at CnB Gallery in July earlier this year. This highly anticipated show will feature a selection of new and previously un-exhibited works, fresh from the artists studio. This show will also include Ally’s newly released second limited edition print with Jealous, ‘Good Boy’.
‘As a recipient of the HIX Award and the Jealous Prize, Goldsmiths MA Ally McIntyre has already been understood as an exciting and emerging talent.’
With a bold use of colour and confident mark making, Ally McIntyre’s new large scale works continue to explore alternative perspectives of our cultural hierarchical structures, where importance is inferred to the unconsidered. Using an already well developed language, McIntyre also reinvents her subjects through unconventional pairings of mixed media, styles and playful combinations of dream-like colour and a formidable command of line.
