Sarah Maple’s exhibition features new work from artist; ‘ ‘Portraits with Fans’ pokes fun at her male counterparts, commenting on the outrageous sexism in the Art World and Art History, while ‘Stop All The Clocks’ and ‘Cut-outs Series’ highlights the pressures on women through the male gaze.
The central work is a ground breaking series of short 10 minute films which fuse art with sitcoms and were recently shown on Sky Arts, which is now free and available for all to view. Exploring the experience of being an artist, Maple wrote the semi-autobiographical piece to highlight the set-backs, dramas and joys of being an artist in the modern art world, which she both loves and despairs at.

Sarah Maple’s ‘Sexy Nazi Shark Show’ Shoreditch was listed on londonist.com as a must see exhibition in October.
“Satirical artist Sarah Maple asked what words generate the most 'click-throughs', and based on those findings has titled her exhibition Nazi Sexy Shark show - it worked on us. Her work lampoons both the wider world and art itself — taking on political hot potatoes such as Trump, Brexit and toxic masculinity. The show also features a fusion of art and the sitcom genre in what is a very meta exhibition.”
